Athlete Eligibility

Hey cool! You’re thinking about becoming a Saskatchewan Games athlete. Here’s an overview of the list of specs you need to check off before you can compete.

Saskatchewan Games athletes must:

  • Be Canadian or Saskatchewan citizens who have been landed immigrants for a minimum of one year.
  • Have lived within the recognized boundaries of the District they are representing for minimum of six months
  • Be enrolled and attending either a secondary or post-secondary school. (Special eligibility rules apply to those attending school outside their district.)
  • Be an amateur athlete registered with the Provincial Sport Governing Body for the desired sport of competition at the Games.
