Soccer Venue
The soccer community has long desired a regulation pitch, properly designed for drainage and heavy traffic. What you see here is the development of that pitch from the removal of the topsoil, to filling in with the proper bases and topsoil, along with the installation of an irrigation system to provide the perfect growing conditions for the special sport grass seed required for durability on the soccer pitch.
In order to provide the grass with the optimum ability to establish itself, a temporary fence was erected.
Huge amounts of volunteer time, labour, equipment use and materials went into this project that took place over several months. A huge thank you goes out to all those involved.

This is looking great!!!
The weather this fall has cooperated to allow the grass to get well established before winter sets in.
A huge thank you to the R.M. of Meadow Lake, the City of Meadow Lake, Thompson Plumbing and Heating, Transition Place staff and students Albert Brookes (NWSD ), Kent Kozloski, Dwight Bacon (Bacon Holdings Inc.), Chris Mazuren (Flying Dust Trucking), Louis Hebert (Hebert Skidsteer), B&D Landscaping and Maurice Demmans, Dave Cubbon and Cavalier Agrow Ltd. and all the other volunteers that made this project happen under the guidance of the Tether family! See you next summer for a game on the pitch!
